Description
Fullband MIMORAD Outdoor 4G/5G MIMO Antenna
Fullband MIMORAD is an omni Directional, high performance wide band antenna that has twin connector cables to connect to the MAIN and AUX ports of 3G, 4G and 5G routers.
It is a Fullband Antenna which means that it works with all UK 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G mobile network frequencies so can be used with all of our 4G and 5G routers that have a MAIN and AUX antenna connection. The MIMORAD 5G Antenna is classed as a 2×2 MiMo 5G Antenna because it contains two separate antenna elements inside the housing with two cables to connect to the two antenna ports of a 4G router. Some 5G routers may only have 2 x antenna ports for the connection of an external antenna, these are usually consumer routers and in many cases require a TS9 adapter. Many Industrial 5G Routers will have 4×4 MiMo connections so you could use two MIMORAD antennas or use one of our 4×4 MiMo antennas.
It is fully weatherproof so can be positioned outdoors in the optimum position to capture the best 4G/5G signal and deliver it to the connected device and its vertical beam width and Back to front ratio ensure that it will deliver the best performance at all times.
The Peak Gain of this MiMo antenna is 6dBi and the antenna can be wall or pole mounted.
WHY DO I NEED AN EXTERNAL 4G / 5G ANTENNA?
You only need to purchase this antenna if your 4G or 5G Router is located in a position with poor 4G/5G network signal BUT you have a good or excellent signal outdoors where you are going to position the antenna.
This is not a booster antenna so you cant install it in the same location as the router hoping that it will boost your signal strength and download and upload speeds – you will need to install this antenna in a location where there is a far better signal than your router is already receiving. if you have similar signal strengths indoors and outdoors then using this antenna will not improve anything and you may find that you might get a poorer signal in these circumstances.
WHY IS THIS DESCRIBED AS A MIMO ANTENNA?
This is described as a MIMO antenna because inside the housing there are two separate antennas hence the two cables – these will then connect to the two antenna ports of your 4G or 5G router and provide a diversity antenna solution. You can also purchase Cross Polarised MIMO Antennas which have the antennas in the housing at an angle to each other and using a cross polarised antenna may help improve data throughput for 4G and 5G installations.
